At first, Lakilulu and Lakilester (mostly Lakilester) are working for [[Huff N. Puff]], and, as such, are minions of [[Bowser|King Bowser]]. Following [[Mario]]'s defeat of Lakilester (known as "Spike?" during the fight), Lakilulu stops Mario from doing anything else. Lakilester informs her that Mario must finish him off for good, for {{wp|spoils system|to the victor goes the spoils}}. She threatens to harm Mario if he hurts her boyfriend more. After Mario describes his true intentions, Lakilester decides to join Mario's party and Lakilulu flies off into the sky. Lakilulu is a female Lakitu and Lakilester's girlfriend in Paper Mario. Her name is a portmanteau of "Lakitu" and the the female name "Lulu".

History

Following Lakilester's defeat at Mario's hands, Lakilulu arrives and stops Mario from doing anything else. She tells him that Lakilester, who was working for Huff N. Puff, was simply following orders and asks Mario to forgive him. If Mario refuses, she will attack him with Spiny Eggs until he changes his mind.
