Fire Shell is Kooper's ultimate attack in Paper Mario. It can only be used by leveling Kooper to the Ultra Rank. To use this move, the player must use five FP and then repeatedly tilt the control stick to the left to fill the gauge. All ground based enemies will be hit by a fiery attack. It can cause up to six points of damage. It works especially well on icy enemies, inflicting two extra points of damage against them, and will permanently defeat Dry Bones.
This move was going to reappear in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, by Koops, since an unused attack description reads, "Hits enemies with a fiery shell." Instead, Shell Slam functions similarly.
