Akatō Lifts[1] are a type of lift in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, appearing only in the course The Sharp Trial: Launch to Victory. They are long and log-like. The right side of these lifts have a hole that hosts a Hoppycat. This Hoppycat has altered gravity, falling leftward and jumping rightward. This Hoppycat can be used to hit blocks and enemies such as Trompettes and Goombas. After jumping, if the Hoppycat lands on its hole, it will return there.
An Akatō Lift begins moving once stepped on, continuing into it reaches the end of its track. A short Akatō Lift with no interior Hoppycat that begins moving automatically serves to drop a Hoppycat on a normal-length Akatō Lift.
