When [[Mario]] helps the [[Whale]] on the belly-ache problem, the Whale thanked Mario as he tells to the plumber that he should be a Doctor like [[Dr. Mario]]. For helping the Whale, the Whale will let Mario to go anywhere especially [[Lavalava Island]]. [[Kolorado]] joins Mario and his partner to go to Lavalava Island after Mario prepares to pack up his items. When Mario arrives to the island with the Whale, Mario and his partner attempts to find the Firth [[Star Spirit]], [[Misstar]] in the island as Kolorado starts to explore the place as Chapter 5 starts.

Bellbell Plants are plants that appear in Paper Mario. Mario may see Bellbell Plants during his exploration of Lavalava Island. When Mario attempts to examine it or whacks it with his current Hammer, they ring, giving Mario a hint of a Hidden Block near the Bellbell Plant that may contain an item or Coins.
