"Freezer Layer: Chocolava Lake"[1][2] is a musical theme in Donkey Kong Bananza, where it plays in sublayer 501 of the Freezer Layer. It is numbered "019" in the track list.
History[edit]
Donkey Kong Bananza marks the first appearance of "Freezer Layer: Chocolava Lake". It also features four arrangements of the theme.
When fighting enemies or when the track's disc is flipped in the Massive Speaker of the Groove Layer, the theme dynamically changes to a variation with electric guitar as the lead instrument and more pronounced percussion. It is titled "Freezer Layer: Chocolava Lake Battle" in the Nintendo Music app.
An arrangement of "Freezer Layer: Chocolava Lake" that features richer instrumentation plays in the Canter Creamery area of the same sublayer. It is numbered "020" in the game's sound test, and titled "Freezer Layer: Canter Creamery" in the game's sound test and the Nintendo Music app.
