Lily is a water lily that lives in Flower Fields in Paper Mario. During Huff N. Puff's invasion, Lily's pond runs dry, leaving her stranded on the ground. Lily withers without water, and asks Mario to get the Water Stone, which gives an endless supply of water and was stolen by two Lakitus to increase the power of the Puff-Puff Machine. The stone was found by Rosie who will return it to Lily if given something more beautiful. After receiving the Crystal Berry from Posie and giving it to Rosie, Mario can return to Lily and give her back the stone, obtaining Miracle Water.

- That's Lily. She says she's guarding the spring. I get the sense that she's easily distracted. She's off in her own little world a lot of the time. It's kind of a problem if you want to get any information from her. She seems to drift off even while you're talking to her. -- Goombario's tattle
