“Yeah, you! This is Bowser's castle!”
Koopa Striker, Super Paper Mario

A Koopa Striker is a species of Koopas introduced in Super Paper Mario. A Koopa Striker has large, orange eyebrows, wears a soccer uniform and has a black and white checkered shell, with the color scheme of a soccer ball. Its name may refer to the striker position used in soccer, or it may be a reference to Super Mario Strikers, the North American name for Mario Smash Football, a soccer game for the Nintendo GameCube. Koopa Strikers attacks by placing a shell on the ground, then kicking it at any and all assailants. They guard the area around Bowser's Castle in The Bitlands along with other Koopas, and the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials. A Koopa Striker is also seen in the mini-game Hammer Whacker. He launches giant shells at Mario, Peach, Bowser, or Luigi.
