The badge clerk is a minor character in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and its Nintendo Switch remake. He is an enthusiastic pale yellow Little Mouser who is one of the two shopkeepers at the Lovely Howz of Badges, a badge shop found in Rogueport, with Ms. Mowz being the store manager.

While the shop has five badges visible on its counter at any given time, Mario can speak with the badge clerk to peruse the full list, albeit with every badge having a displayed price 30% cheaper than its regular price. In the remake, Mario can purchase badges not on display in a cardboard box on the right end of the counter instead of speaking with the badge clerk. Mario can also sell badges to the badge clerk, after which they will be added to the shop's stock and can be bought back later at double the cost.

According to Goombella's Tattle, the badge clerk works part-time at the Lovely Howz of Badges and seemingly wants to open his own badge shop in the future, using his current job to learn the trade.
