Super Mario: Guess the Game! is a video series produced and published weekly by Nintendo for the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary event since September 14, 2025. The videos are published on the Nintendo Today! app as news pages; since September 29, 2025, the series is also shown inside trains in Japan, replacing the Pikmin: What's This? video series.[1][2][3] Just like the Pikmin videos, they always precede an advertisement for a recent or upcoming Nintendo product (with the first one attached to these videos being Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2). The videos are quizzes in which the viewer has to guess the title of a Super Mario game after being shown three cropped clips of footage from it as hints, each progressively making the game more obvious. The viewer is given a five-star-based score depending on when they guess the game. At the end of each video, the game's title, release date, and uncropped footage are shown, as well as a "Did you know?" section related to the clips. Additionally, the train version includes a real-life fact that coincides with the year the game released.
