"Meanwhile, Princess Peach..." is a theme composed for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and rearranged for its 2024 remake. It is a sentimental, synthesized theme in 3
4 time that plays during Princess Peach's interludes in the X-Naut Fortress. The modern version maintains the original synths but also builds upon the overall theme by not only adding woodwind timbres but also extending it by adding a melodic portion of "Peach's Castle" from Super Mario 64 (particularly the second section of said theme). This theme also acts as the game’s secondary motif as it has earned two other arrangements "After the Final Battle", a triumphant theme that plays after the Shadow Queen's defeat and "Goodbye, TEC" a sorrowful theme that plays just before TEC's shutdown (the latter of which is exclusive for the remake).
