Spranglers[1] are dark gray-striped spiders with a brown head that first appear in Super Mario Galaxy. They hang from ceilings and overhangs by a thread of silk and appear mostly in the Ghostly Galaxy, Sea Slide Galaxy, and Bowser Jr.'s Airship Armada. Spranglers swing back and forth on their threads like a pendulum in an attempt to damage the player. They can be defeated by jumping on them or with two spins. They release a coin or three Star Bits, depending on how they are defeated.
They reappear in Super Mario Galaxy 2, only being found in Yoshi Star Galaxy and Tall Trunk Galaxy.
