Treasure Spots[1] (originally localized as lamps)[2] are bolt-like protrusion in the ground. Firing a Star Bit at one with the Star Pointer turns it into a collectible coin. They are present in some boss arenas, such as the ones for Dino Piranha and Topmaniac.
