Template:Species-infobox Slurples are health-sucking space leeches in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They look very similar to Swoopin' Stus and/or Poinks from Super Mario Sunshine, and act like Fuzzies from the Paper Mario series. Slurples have light blue skin, big eyes, and snouts. They move by bouncing and will attack by latching on to Mario and draining health from him like alien leeches. In addition to damage, Mario's movement speed is slowed while a Slurple is attached to him. They can be defeated with a spin or a flung Star Bit. If hit with a Star Bit, they will yield three additional Star Bits, while they will only yield one if spun. They can also be defeated by obstacles such as Boulders.

Super Mario Galaxy

Slurples are creatures that first appear in Super Mario Galaxy. They resemble Octogoombas, Octoboos, and Boos. They attack by latching onto Mario and drain his health, much like a Fuzzy from the Paper Mario series. If one latches onto Mario, Mario must spin to get it off. They chase Mario by bouncing and are extremely slow, making them easy to outrun.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Sluples re-appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2, with no notable differences.
