Template:Species-infobox Li'l Cinders[1] are enemies in Super Mario Galaxy, and are the fiery counterparts of Li'l Brrs. Their name directly references cinders, which are small parts of any highly combustible material that, while not on fire, are still hot and capable of bursting into flames. To defeat one, Mario must use a Spin attack to put out the flame surrounding it, making it fall to the ground. Mario can then kick it to finish it off. If the player is not quick to hit the Li'l Cinder while it is vulnerable, it will start to hop around, attempting to jump in the lava and regenerate its flame. Shooting Star Bits at it has the same effect as spinning it.

With their flame, Li'l Cinders resemble Lava Bubbles with white eyes. They also resemble Fire Elemental Ghosts from Luigi's Mansion.

They return in the sequel Super Mario Galaxy 2. They appear in the Freezy Flake Galaxy, Battle Belt Galaxy and Mario Squared Galaxy. They behave the same as they did in the previous game. If Mario rolls a snowball into a Li'l Cinder, it is defeated instantly. They can also be spawned by Magikoopas.
