Green Star
Green Power Stars are green-colored Power Stars that can be found in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
In Super Mario Galaxy, there are only three Green Power Stars, each of which is hidden away in some galaxy. Collecting all three of them grants Mario access to the three Trial Galaxies: the Rolling Gizmo Galaxy, the Loopdeeswoop Galaxy, and the Bubble Blast Galaxy.
In Super Mario Galaxy 2, there are a total of 120 Green Power Stars to be found. These are only available once the player collects 120 regular power stars. Each Galaxy has the same number of Green Power Stars as regular power stars; i.e. if a Galaxy has two regular power stars, it will also have two green power stars.

Super Mario Galaxy
- Battlerock Galaxy, Luigi under the Saucer: Saving Luigi under the 1st Power Star.
- Dusty Dune Galaxy, Treasure of the Pyramid: Collecting 5 Silver Stars in the Pyramid Planet.
- Buoy Base Galaxy, The Secret of Buoy Base: Under the Buoy Base sealed in a cage.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Sky Station Galaxy star 1: on a part of Yoshi's house where the 2 pipes are. Just wall jump to get to it. Sky Station Galaxy star 2: On the plant with the Rolling cars, near the launch star just jump off the edge (as if you were going to go into the launch star but missed it) and you'll fall right on top of it. Sky Station Galaxy star 3: On the planet with all the bullet bills go inside the planet like you do in regular playthroughs of the gaaxy. Then reach the spot with the bonus stage teleporter and jump from one of the rotating platforms and jump to the star.
Yoshi Star Galaxy star 1: This star is probably the easiest one. All you have to do is go to the place where the Comet Medaland there it is! Yoshi Star Galaxy Star 2: At the place with the fruit Yoshi has to pull to reveal a launch star on the volcano there's a small cave on the side of it. JUst flutter jump over there and you get your star. Yoshi Star Galaxy star 3:
Trivia
- In Super Mario Galaxy, even though only three Green Power Stars are recovered in the game, a total of seven Green Lumas can be found on the Comet Observatory and the Planet of Trials.
- Green Lumas grow up to become Green Power Stars, according to Rosalina.
