"Cheep Cheep Lagoon"[1] is a musical theme in Mario Kart 7, where it plays in the race course of the same name. The theme is mainly lead by steelpans and marimbas, with a heavy bass instrument and percussion featuring a prominent shaker and timbales backing it. The bassline quotes "World 3 Map (Water Land)".

Mario Kart 7 marks the first appearance of "Cheep Cheep Lagoon".

Like with the rest of the courses in Mario Kart 7, a looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.
