Power Sneakers frequently appear as items in the Mario & Sonic series, where they function the same way as they do in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, temporarily boosting the user's speed.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

In the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Power Sneakers only appear in Dream Race, where they are referred to as High Speed. In the Nintendo DS version, Power Sneakers appear in Dream Long Jump, where they are instead referred to as Speed Boost.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games

Power Sneakers return as items in Dream Events for both versions of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, now under the name High Speed Shoes. High Speed Shoes appear as an item in every Dream Event except for Dream Figure Skating in the Wii version, while in the Nintendo DS version, High Speed Shoes only appear in Fever Hockey and Rocket Ski Jumping.
