Egg Hammers are giant-sized, mallet-wielding versions of Egg Pawns found in a few games of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, starting as a late-game enemy in Sonic Heroes. They cross over with the Super Mario franchise in both versions of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.
In the Wii version, they appear as large obstacles in both the Individual and Team versions of the Dream Snowboard Cross event, as well as the Individual and Team versions of Dream Alpine. In all cases, they generally stand in place, moving in and attacking with their hammer if approached.
In the DS version, one appears in the fourth and final round of Ski Shooting moving around behind the moving targets, occasionally slamming the ground with its hammer to throw off the two competitors. It can be damaged and eventually defeated by shooting it when it raises its hammer, though this is optional. Defeating it grants a large point bonus of 100 and causes extra targets to appear.
