Winter Island is a location appearing in the Adventure Tours mode of the Nintendo DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. It is home to three towns, which are visited in the order of Frostown, Polastraits, and Icepeak, each of which hosts challenges based on real life Olympic Events.

At the start of Adventure Tours, Mario and Sonic visit Winter Island to attend the Winter Games, but they soon discover the snow is gone. They meet the snow spirit Frosty, who informs them that Bowser and Dr. Eggman melted the snow and kidnapped the other five snow spirits to cancel the Winter Games and host their own in their place. Mario and Sonic then travel around Winter Island and Dream Island to rescue the snow spirits and thwart Bowser and Dr. Eggman's plans.
