Gohlas (also spelled Ghoras, Golas, and Goras, and alternatively called Sols) are Badniks created by Dr. Eggman that first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, being fiery versions of the series of echinodermal Badniks known as Orbinauts. Their only appearance in the Super Mario franchise is in the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, in which they take on their appearance from Sonic Adventure and are found in only two events: the Individual and Team versions of Dream Snowboard Cross. Here, they float in place, slowly twirling their flaming orbs around themselves. Touching a Gohla in these events will damage the player.
