How to win at Super Mario Bros. is a 111-page strategy guide for Super Mario Bros. that was originally published in Japan in 1985 as Super Mario Bros. Kanzen Kōryakubon,[4] but was later republished in the United States in early 1987.[5] In the latter region, the book was not available in book stores, and was only made available to Nintendo Fun Club members, who could get the book for free by redeeming a coupon included with Nintendo Fun Club News's first issue, published in Winter 1987.[5]

Portions of the Japanese version appeared in the November 1985 issue of Family Computer Magazine, another publication of Tokuma Shoten, the book's publisher.

The English translation of the book begins with a foreword of Howard Phillips, who was the Product Analysis Manager of Nintendo of America at the time. According to the foreword, it was Phillips's idea to publish the book for American audiences.

The guide was incorrectly and consistently capitalized as How To Win At Super Mario Bros., How to Win at Super Mario Bros., and How to Win At Super Mario Bros. by Nintendo Power in many issues.
