"Staff Credit Roll",[1] also known as "Credits Theme 1",[2] is a musical theme composed by Ryo Nagamatsu for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, where it plays during the game's staff credits. It is an arrangement of "Title Theme" from the same game. It also quotes "Ground BGM" from Super Mario Bros. and "Ground Theme" from New Super Mario Bros.
History[edit]
Super Mario series[edit]
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]
New Super Mario Bros. Wii marks the first appearance of "Staff Credits Roll". During the game's staff credits, the four player characters while idle will dance to the music through a unique idle animation as well as sequences of crouches and Spin Jumps, a trait that would later carry over to the staff credits of New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and the Meetup in Bellabel Park campaign.
New Super Mario Bros. 2[edit]
In New Super Mario Bros. 2, a remix of "Staff Credit Roll" by Kenta Nagata featuring a capella vocals plays during the game's staff credits. A brief arrangement of "Underground BGM" from Super Mario Bros. can be heard 1 minute and 17 seconds into the theme.
Mario Kart World[edit]
In Mario Kart World, a jazz fusion arrangement of "Staff Credit Roll" can play in Free Roam during the day. It is fully titled "Credits Theme 1 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)" in the Nintendo Music app.
