Bakudan are a form of explosive in Donkey Kong Bananza. They are Boom Bombs that have a gold top component featuring a caged, pink, rotating light. When Donkey Kong touches or attacks a Bakudan, it explodes shortly after in a spherical area, visualized by the sphere that accompanies a set off Bakudan. This explosion can set off other Bakudan, damage Donkey Kong by one and a half hearts (three quarters of a heart in Assist Mode), defeat enemies, and destroy terrain. Bakudan appear either partially or fully in terrain.

Bakudan appear prominently in Thorny Blast Cave, the second Challenge Course of the Canyon Layer. Bakudan also appear in the Planet Core.
