Weight Blocks are a kind of block Wario encounters during his adventures in the Wario Land series. Their appearance differs between the various installmants, but they all share the property that they are not breakable by any of Wario's standard attacks. Naturally, they are placed in specific places to prevent access to certain areas. To break them regardless, Wario has to assume his Fat form. The additional weight he has in this form allows him to break Weight Blocks by jumping on top of them.

Doughnut block
Not to be confused with Donut Block.

Doughnut blocks,[1] or donut blocks,[2] are a type of block Wario encounters during his adventures in the Wario Land series. They are not breakable by any of Wario's standard attacks, and are placed to prevent access to certain areas. To break doughnut blocks, Wario must become Fat Wario. The additional weight he has in this form allows him to break doughnut blocks by jumping on top of them.

In Wario Land 3, doughnut blocks appear in Out of the Woods, The Peaceful Village, Sea Turtle Rocks, A Town in Chaos, Beneath the Waves, The West Crater, The Grasslands, Tower of Revival, Cave of Flames, and The Warped Void.

History[edit]

Wario Land series[edit]

Doughnut blocks first appear in Wario Land II aboard the SS Tea Cup, and are a common obstacle throughout the game afterwards. They appear as brown blocks with some cracks in them. A Cook can often be found near doughnut blocks. Wario can eat the pieces of cake thrown by Cooks to transform into Fat Wario, allowing him to break doughnut blocks.

Doughnut blocks return in Wario Land 3, appearing as bright pink blocks that feature a doughnut symbol. If Wario eats a doughnut thrown by a Doughnuteer or an apple thrown by an Appleby, he will transform into Fat Wario and can break doughnut blocks.
