Gugi are enemies in Wario Land II. Initially small and unassuming, they can become angered easily and lunge at Wario. They also appear in the minigame Flagman D-D, where they signal the player to hit the B Button button.

Language Name Meaning
Japanese グギ[1]
Possibly from「グッ」(gu, onomatopoeia for growling),「ギッ」(gi, onomatopoeic term for clenching teeth), and a corrupted spelling of「釘」(kugi, tack), which would refer to their spikes
