Snow Land is the first race course of the Star Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Like most Mario Kart ice races, Snow Land is a very slippery track which requires accurate steering. Similar to Frappe Snowland, snowmen appear as obstacles on this course, though bumping into them does not cause the player to spin out. Spinning penguins also appear as obstacles, which can cause the player to spin out.

Course layout

Course layout

The course first starts out in a straight blue road that leads into a right turn that is straight, then a left turn that proceeds. Past the left turn is a sharp curve to the right that leads into a long, straight road. Just before this part of the track is a small shortcut, in which there are several coins and boosters. The long road and the shortcut contain the course's only coins; and the long road contains them in a long straight line if the coins are turned on, and as a result, the player should collect all of the coins in order to obtain a better rank and to prevent them from spinning out of contact with another player.

Past the long road is a curve to the right that leads straight into another curve that curves a little to the right and a U-turn just after that tiny curve. Past the U-turn is a large area with some water ponds, penguins, and slippery ice to slow the player down. This area is the largest road of the course.

Past the area is a turn right that has two item boxes and a boost pad. On the extreme right is a snow lane that slightly cuts through the course if the player manages to find a way without driving through the snow and slowing down. After that, the road curves around an area and then, the player must make a turn to the right. The player can cut past the curve with a hidden jump. After the last right turn is the straight road that leads to the finish/starting line and the course starts again.

Snow Land returns in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of Wave 2 of the Booster Course Pass. It appears as the second course in the Propeller Cup. The course has received dramatic visual upgrades, and now features more elevated portions, similar to GBA Cheese Land.[1]
