Bleu, Super Paper Mario

Bleu is an artist with a stereotypical French accent in Super Paper Mario. He lives on the first floor of Flopside with his daughter named Lily, who secretly wants to be an actress. Bleu's name is French for blue, the color he wears and the color of his skin. His Flipside counterpart is Sacre, and together their names form the well-known French phrase Sacre bleu! The phrase literally translates to "Sacred Blue", since the Virgin Mary's outer veil is oft painted blue in Catholic art.

Bleu's role in the game is not major, but if Princess Peach talks to him, she can get a new hairstyle - a ponytail. Peach moves slightly faster when her hair is done up this way, however if the player changes characters or enters an elevator, Peach's hair reverts back to normal. This is forewarned by Bleu, who cautions that Peach's new hairstyle is difficult to maintain. However, by the end of the game, Bleu is talented enough to change Peach's hair permanently.
