Template:Level Underwhere Road is where the events of Chapter 7-2 take place in Super Paper Mario. The road connects the Underwhere to the Overthere. It is the only Chapter in the game in which the player must face two mini-bosses (Chapter 8-2 contains a second mini-boss, however the battle with Francis is optional). In certain rooms of the Underwhere Road, the path is obstructed by darkness; however, Tippi's ability allows the player to see where the player is at, as well as torches placed throughout the level that Bowser can light up using his fire breath. During this chapter, Mario and Luigi guide Luvbi up to the Overthere.

At one point in Underwhere Road, there are three D-Men holding a door closed. They mention that they are trying to hold a monster in and they're sure that it is the monster that escaped from the Underwhere. Mario and Luigi offer to defeat the monster for them and the D-Men allow them to pass.

As it turns out, the monster is not the creature that the D-Men mistook it to be, but rather, Bowser, complaining about the situation that he is in. When Bowser asks where the Princess is, Mario and company inform him that she hasn't been found; however, Bowser misunderstands them, believing that Mario is planning to defeat Bowser and save the princess on his own. After a battle that occurs, Tippi explains to Bowser what is going on, and he decides to rejoin Mario's party.

The Three Hags are encountered in this area, and a favor must be done for one of the sisters, Hagra, in order for the three heroes to continue on and reach the end of the level. The player can do favors for the other two sisters as well, but this is optional. The hags are based on the three Fates, and are one of many aspects of the Underwhere that are inspired by the underworld of Greek mythology.

There are three sealed doors that the heroes must pass through by passing the tests created by the doors themselves. Dorguy the First has questions that, at first, seem complicated; but are in fact relatively simple, as each question itself is often unrelated to the story preceding it. Dorguy the Second has a relatively difficult quiz, most of the questions being based on memorizing the colors and patterns of moving shapes shown, and only announcing how many the player answered correctly after the quiz is completed. One of them, however, is asking the party if they can recall the number of the question being asked at the top of their heads. Dorguy the Third has a drastically different test; he summons the Underchomp (which is based on the three-headed dog of the Greek Underworld, Cerberus), and the party must face it in a turn-based battle reminiscent of old RPGs such as Dragon Quest; and comparable to other Mario RPGs such as Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Paper Mario, etc. Two easy ways to finish him off: the obvious one, use Piccolo, or use Bowser and Thudley on each individual head, as Thudley deals a more powerful attack in this RPG-based battle, and Bowser does more damage.
