Broode's Chain Chomp is an enemy in Super Mario Odyssey. It is a gold-colored Big Chain Chomp with a red spiked collar. It appears only during boss battles against its owner, Madame Broode, who refers to it as "Chain Chompikins". Broode's Chain Chomp is capturable and is #06 on the in-game Capture List.

Broode's Chain Chomp is first encountered at the peak of Fossil Falls with Madame Broode. It appears here in a pink sunhat similar to the one worn by Madame Broode herself. During the boss battle, Broode's Chain Chomp lunges directly at Mario and propels Madame Broode forward in incremental movements. This contrasts with the normal Big Chain Chomps in the game, which are fastened to inert posts. While normal Chain Chomps move through Mario, Broode's Chain Chomp slows to a halt after doing the same. Striking Broode's Chain Chomp with Cappy knocks its hat off and leaves it open to being captured. While captured, Broode's Chain Chomp functions like Big Chain Chomps. Pulling Left Stick back and letting go launches Broode's Chain Chomp back in the opposite direction. This is the only way Mario can damage Madame Broode, and it brings him out of the capture. After being attacked, Madame Broode takes her Chain Chomp and throws it at Mario like a yo-yo.

In the Underground Moon Caverns, Broode's Chain Chomp wears a stack of wedding top hats. Striking it makes only one hat fall away, requiring multiple strikes until all its hats are removed before it can be captured. Broode's Chain Chomp wears three hats in the first two phases and five top hats in the final phase.

Incidentally, gold-colored Chain Chomps occur in Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. The ones in the latter two are discrete variants called Gold Chomps.
