The two types of D-Men from Super Paper Mario | |
First appearance | Super Paper Mario (2007) |
D-Men are imp-like creatures that work for Queen Jaydes and who reside in The Underwhere in Super Paper Mario. There are two types of D-Men: those that work directly for Queen Jaydes (as distinguished by the suits they wear) and are flooded with work, and those that can mainly be found in Underwhere Road (as distinguished by their loincloths) and who make sure people safely climb upward to The Overthere.
The D-Man's name is a pun on "demon" and "G-Man", which is short for "Government Man" and is a slang term for FBI Agents; this refers to the fact that they are agents of Queen Jaydes.
