Talkatoo is a parrot from the game Super Mario Odyssey. He appears across multiple kingdoms and gives names of Power Moons to Mario when consulted. The message consists of a recurring sentence: "I can't tell you, but I'll give you a clue: (name of the Power Moon) ♪ It's hiding somewhere and no peeking! ♪ Go find it, go find it, scra-CAW!". He is mostly yellow in color, has a black beak and has an explorer's hat with a feather in it.

His name is a portmanteau of "talk" and "cockatoo".

Trivia

  • There is a certain glitch that occurs when Cappy is thrown behind Talkatoo. When the A button (to talk) is pushed at the right time just before Cappy is about to hit Talkatoo in the head, the camera will lock, but Mario will still be able to run around.[1] This glitch can also be used to cheat on the Jumping Rope challenge in the Metro Kingdom to reach 99,999 jumps.[2]
