The "Main Theme" is a track and recurring motif throughout Paper Mario: Color Splash. It is a folk-style song played on a violin and a strumming guitar, and is first heard on the game's title screen. It is incorporated into many tracks throughout the game.
A piano cover, titled "Main Theme (Ragtime)", plays in the digital instruction manual. It and the regular version of the main theme are found on the Special record in the Prisma Museum's Sound Gallery.
The main notes of the main theme are heard in "Water," the arrangement of "Shy Vandals" that plays after Mario is swept away by the flow of water from the waterwheel in Port Prisma.
A violin and clarinet arrangement called "Ruddy Road" plays in the level of the same name and the introductory area of The Crimson Tower. A slowed-down arrangement played on accordion, called "Prisma Café", plays at the Ruddy Road Café. Both tracks are located on the level's record in the Prisma Museum.
The "Main Theme" is incorporated into "Circle Up, Shy Guys!", an accordion cover of the song that various Slurp Guys are seen dancing through in Ruddy Road, Sunglow Ridge, and Black Bowser's Castle.
A synthesized, glockenspiel arrangement incorporating the sound effects of scissors snipping called "Cut Out the Cutout!" plays whenever Mario uses the Cutout ability. It is found on the record for Cherry Lake.
"Paint Star Memories" is a slow, solo piano track with the sound of a clock ticking throughout. It is heard after Mario brings a Big Paint Star to Port Prisma, and incorporates the main theme's leitmotif. It is found on the record for The Crimson Tower.
"Redpepper Spa" is a reinstrumentation on traditional Chinese instruments that plays in the hot springs of Redpepper Crater. It is found on that level's record in the Prisma Museum.
The "Main Theme" is quoted again in "Farewell," a melancholy piano piece that plays when Huey says his goodbyes to Mario, Peach, and Luigi. It is on the record for Black Bowser's Castle.
A music box version of the track, "Fin," plays at the very end of the game, during the shot of Prisma Fountain at night.
A triumphant sting covering the main theme plays when Mario collects enough Hammer Scraps and levels up.
The "Main Theme" is a smaller part of the tracks "Overworld," "Port Prisma" and its rearrangements, "Bowser's Airship Aloft," "The Crimson Tower," "Prism Samba," "Daffodil Peak," "The Happy Professor," "Cooking with Mario," "Bowser Battle," "Blackout," and "Prisma Splash!"
