Super Mario Bros.: A Big Coloring Book, also referred to as just Super Mario Bros., is a softcover-bound book published by Western Publishing in 1993 under the Golden Book label as part of the Super Mario Bros. series of coloring and activity books.[1] As its title implies, it is based on the live-action Super Mario Bros. film, closely following its plot. Unlike the previous Super Mario Bros. coloring books, which included coloring pages as well as activities, this book includes only coloring pages. The book contains 56 pages.
A smaller staple-bound version of the book, simply titled Super Mario Bros.: A Coloring Book and containing only 32 pages, was also released.[2]
Differences between Super Mario Bros.: A Coloring Book[edit]
Super Mario Bros.: A Coloring Book is a smaller staple-bound version of the book that omits 26 pages found in the original book, much more than any other Super Mario coloring book under the Golden Book label. This version has a product code of 3887-14 and lacks an ISBN on the back cover, being replaced with the words "Special Edition".
An alternate version of this version exists. This version has the title written in a white oval and has a product code of 3887-15 as opposed to 3887-14.

- The book has President Koopa turning Toad into primordial ooze as opposed to a Goomba.
- The book omits all scenes following President Koopa's defeat, including the ending.
- In Super Mario Bros.: A Big Coloring Book, Sergeant Simon lacks the mustache he has in the film.
