Template:Item-infobox Mario Brothers Yuka[1] are a type of platform debuting in Mario Bros., then subsequently reappearing in the New Super Mario Bros. sub-series.

History

Mario Brothers Yuka first appear in all releases Mario Bros. as the main platform of the game. While they act as normal platforms when the player stands on them, the player can also bump them from below to stun enemies and collect coins on the place where the platform was bumped. Their appearance changes depending on the phase and there are also frozen versions.

Mario Brothers Yuka reprise their roles in the various in-game ports of Mario Bros., including Super Mario Bros. 3, the Super Mario Advance games, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and the Luigi Bros. game in Super Mario 3D World.

Super Mario series

New Super Mario Bros.

Mario Brothers Yuka reappear in New Super Mario Bros., behaving the same as in their debut game. They appear in World 2-2 and World 8-6.

New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

Mario Brothers Yuka return in New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U, behaving the same as in past appearances. They appear in Screwtop Tower, Shifting-Floor Cave, and World Coin-2 in the former game, and in Sumo Bro's Spinning Tower in the latter game.

Mario Brothers Yuka reprise the aforementioned roles in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
