The following is a bestiary for all enemies encountered in Paper Mario: Color Splash, with stats derived from in-game data.[1]

Legend

  • Name: The name of the enemy.
    • Normal: Enemy. (Ex: Shy Guy)
    • Italic: Mini-boss. (Ex: Big Spiny)
    • Bold: Boss. (Ex: Morton)
    • Underline: Support. (Ex: Black Lava Bubble)
  • HP: The enemy's HP at the start of the battle.
  • Type: The type of enemy.
    • Normal: The enemy is not spiny, flying, or shelled.
    • Spiny: If the enemy is spiny, Mario will take damage from Jump attacks against it.
    • Flying: If the enemy is flying, it will dodge any Hammer attacks.
    • Shelled: Lists if the enemy has a shell.
    • Stack: Lists if the enemy is a stack.
  • Defense: The enemy's defense.
  • Strong: The moves the enemy is strong against.
  • Weak: The moves the enemy is weak against.
  • Moves: The enemy's attacks and other techniques. The bold number in the brackets indicates the damage of the attack in HP, the italicized number in the brackets indicates the amount of HP restored with the move.
    • Stomped-on Attack: The attack caused by Mario stomping on the enemy while it is hiding in its shell. It is directed toward the enemies.
    • Line Attack: The attack caused by the enemy bouncing on objects or walls.
    • Group Attack: The attack of the enemy when it is attacking as part of a group (typically happens with groups of three or more enemies that attack together).
    • Blowback Attack: The attack caused by the enemy attacking summoned enemies from Enemy Cards.
  • Location(s): The locations the enemy appears in.
  • Card: Card of the enemy.
    • R: The cards must be won at a Roshambo Temple after the enemy is defeated, a number in place of R indicates the probability that the card is dropped by the enemy.
  • Quotes: Any in-battle dialog spoken by an enemy. Most enemies can have up to four quotes.
  • Enemy Class: The class of the enemy, it affects the items dropped, such as Coins and Battle Cards
    • ENEMY_ZAKO_LV1: Basic troops
    • ENEMY_ZAKO_LV1_BIG: Big version of basic troops
    • ENEMY_ZAKO_LV1_SMALL: Small version of basic troops
    • ENEMY_ZAKO_SMALL_GROUP: Small versions of basic troop in groups
    • ENEMY_KINOKO: Drops Mushroom-type Basic Cards
    • ENEMY_MANY_COIN: Drops more coins than usual
    • ENEMY_PENKI: Drops more paint than usual
    • ENEMY_RANDAM_1_5: Typically drops from 1 to 5 Coins
    • ENEMY_HAMMER: Drops Hammer-type Basic Cards
    • ENEMY_JUMP: Drops Jump-type Basic Cards
    • ENEMY_SPRING: Drops Spring-type Basic Cards
    • ENEMY_FIRE: Drops Fire-type Basic Cards
    • ENEMY_HEIHO_SILVER: Drops from Silver Shy Guys
    • ENEMY_HEIHO_GOLD: Drops from Gold Shy Guys
    • TRE_NOTHING: Doesn't drop any item
  • Dropped Items: The items dropped by the enemy on the course after the battle is won, in the case of major bosses such items are still present in the code but are not actually dropped
    • Hammer Scraps: The Hammer Scraps dropped by the enemy, those are combined by the game into Hammer Scraps of higher value when possible, in order to have as few dropped scraps as possible
    • Red Paint: The amount of red paint dropped by the enemy in the form of droplets
    • Yellow Paint: The amount of yellow paint dropped by the enemy in the form of droplets
    • Blue Paint: The amount of blue paint dropped by the enemy in the form of droplets
    • Orange Paint: The amount of orange paint dropped by the enemy in the form of droplets
    • Green Paint: The amount of green paint dropped by the enemy in the form of droplets
    • Purple Paint: The amount of purple paint dropped by the enemy in the form of droplets

Note: Some of these enemies are variations of a single enemy, are fought in a grouped battle, or have several battles where the enemy has a different stat-spread or form. For convenience, and to reflect the actual data tables of the game, these variations are listed as separate enemies.
