Paint Hunter!

Paint Hunter! is a minigame that appears in Paper Mario: Color Splash. It is the secret fourth Spinning-Door minigame, accessible after matching the rainbow "?" panels that appear after using the door once.
In this minigame, Mario is transported into an "alternate dimension" resembling an area he has already visited, with several elements, such as trees and flowers, hidden from view. The possible areas are Ruddy Road, Bloo Bay Beach, Sunglow Ridge, Mondo Woods, Plum Park, and Tangerino Grill. The minigame's objective is to use paint from Mario's Paint Hammer to reveal as many objects in the area as possible within 45 seconds, or 30 seconds at Mondo Woods and Plum Park. When the time runs out, he will receive 10 coins for every object revealed. Revealing all hidden objects will end the minigame prematurely, with Mario striking a pose while receiving applause.
Layouts[edit]
The following table describes the amounts and locations for all objects which have been hidden in each of the six Paint Hunter! areas. Note that some objects, typically difficult-to-reach blocks, are removed for the purposes of this minigame. Specifically, five floating blocks were removed in Ruddy Road, three were removed from Sunglow Ridge, and two from Plum Park.

- Footnotes
- ^ a b c d In practice, it may not be possible to reach the maximum score of this area due to the spread and number of objects.
- ^ There are two hidden blocks near the set of floating blocks. When painted they will be "revealed" and count towards the total, however they remain invisible unless the player chooses to strike them again.
- ^ Although there are two floral vines, they are revealed together and count as one object.
