- “AWWW... So cute! Thanks!”
- —Gearmo, Super Mario Galaxy 2
The silver Gearmo is a minor character in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Like its golden-clad counterpart, it wants the player to lead an enemy into its small pen (indicated by four pegs sticking out of the ground, making a small square) once it invites them into the Space Storm Galaxy. However, instead of a Goomba, it wants a red Topman.
If Mario or Luigi manages to get a Topman to the pen, the player is rewarded with a Power Star, as promised. The silver Gearmo then appears on Starship Mario, sipping tea with the gold Gearmo. When talked to, the silver Gearmo thanks the character for his efforts and gives him a 1-Up Mushroom. After that, the silver Gearmo simply says, "I love how those red guys spin!"

Naming[edit]
Etymology[edit]
- See also: Gearmo § Naming
The character is simply referred to as「パマタリアン」(Pamatarian, "Gearmo") by Lubba in the original Super Mario Galaxy 2. The respective names for "Gearmo" are employed across localizations of the game. However, paratext for the game refers to the character by a unique name:「パマミ」(Pamami).
Names in other languages[edit]
The contemporaneous name for each language is listed first. Subsequent names are listed in chronological order for each language, from oldest to newest, and have the media with which they are associated in the "notes" column. Names exclusive to localizations of the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia are not prioritized due to concerns about circular reporting, and are only listed first for their respective languages if they are the only ones available.
