Li'l Cutout Soldiers are small black papery enemies that appear in Paper Mario: The Origami King. They were created by Scissors, and only appear in Bowser's Castle after Olivia and Bowser's minions are captured by Handaconda. Li'l Cutout Soldiers no longer appear after Scissors is defeated.

In battle, Li'l Cutout Soldiers cannot be slid up or down. Lots of them are initially connected together in their row, however sliding in the direction of their spots will merge them together, eventually into one, although they will spread out again if the player keeps sliding.

Li'l Cutout Soldiers share the same moveset as their bigger counterparts, but deal less damage. Flat Fist and Flat Foot are a simple punch and kick performed by a single soldier and deal 10 damage. Stacked Fist and Stacked Foot involve between two and six soldiers stacking up and punching or kicking Mario together. These moves deal anywhere between 10 and 22 damage, with each joining Li'l Cutout Soldier adding 2 maximum damage to the attack. If there is a large amount of Li'l Cutout Soldiers on the field, they will use Li'l Chain of Pain, surrounding Mario and attacking him. This move deals a base 9 damage plus the amount of attackers.

There are also larger variants called Big Cutout Soldiers. Both variants and Handaconda are depicted in Collectible Treasure No. 111: Cutout Soldiers.
