In-game description, WarioWare Gold

"Mike's Theme",[2] also known as "Mike's Song",[3] is a song composed by Masaru Tajima for WarioWare: Touched!, where it plays during the prologue cutscene to Mike's stage, "Mic Rocking". In the original Japanese version, the entire song is sung by Sal Out, while in the English version, it is mainly sung by Mike himself instead, with Sal Out only singing the "Go! Go! Go, go, Mike!" line.

Lyrics[edit]

English lyrics[edit]

(Go! Go! Go, go, Mike!)

(Go! Go! Go, go, Mike!)
My name is Mike, c'mon
Let's robo-karaoke!
(Rock the mic! Rock the mic!)
Get up on the stage and
sing a little ditty for me
(Rock the mic! Rock the mic!)
Off-key? No, not me
I'm a karaoke machine!
(Rock the mic!)

I've got two mics on my head
and you sing into me
(Rock the mic! Rock the mic!)
Don't you wanna, don't you wanna,
don't you wanna karaoke?
(Rock the mic! Rock the mic!)
Off-key? No, not me
I'm a karaoke machine!

(Rock the mic!)

Japanese lyrics[edit]

Please upload music, sound effects, voice clips, or any videos for this section. See the help page for help getting started.

WarioWare: Touched! marks the first appearance of "Mike's Theme". The source-quality version of the Japanese version of the song is included in the official album Nintendo Sound Selection Vol.3: B-Side Music.

During the prologue cutscene to Mona's stage, "Cute Cuts", when Sal Out is featured in Ear Candy as one of the top 5 singers, she sings a brief portion of "Mike's Theme". In English, she sings "Go! Go! Go, go, Mike!" in the four measures before the first verse starts. In Japanese, she sings the first line of the first verse.

An excerpt of "Mike's Theme" plays in the microgame Catch a Tune when correctly tuning the radio.

A brief instrumental arrangement of "Mike's Theme" is incorporated in the theme that plays during the staff credits approximately 3 minutes and 50 seconds in.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

In WarioWare Gold, arrangements of the English and Japanese versions of "Mike's Theme" are two separate records in the Toy Room. The original uncompressed vocal tracks are used, but the instrumentation is new. As records, the player can use the Touch Screen to rotate them to distort the music.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a 1950's rock and roll arrangement of "Mike's Theme" arranged by Masafumi Takada can play in the WarioWare, Inc. stage. There are two versions of the arrangement, one in English and the other in Japanese. They are titled "Mike's Song" and "Mike's Song (JP)" respectively in the game's sound test. The English vocals were provided by Terry Lauber and James Cowan, while the Japanese vocals were provided by Jun Fukuda and the Grasshopper Manufacture sound team.

My name is Mike, c'mon
Let's robo-karaoke!
Get up on the stage and
sing a little ditty for me
Off-key? No, not me
I'm a karaoke machine!

I've got two mics on my head
and you sing into me
Yeah, don't you wanna, don't you wanna,
don't you wanna karaoke?
Off-key? No, not me
I'm a karaoke machine!

My name is Mike and tonight
I'm your robo emcee
Just pick a song from the list
and I'll queue the CD

Yeah, Mike's on the mics
and you know that he's doing the deed
'Cause nothing gets a party going higher
than a little kara-okie dokie

My name is Mike, c'mon
Let's robo-karaoke!
Get up on the stage and
sing a little ditty for me
Mikey, Mikey
Let's robo-karaoke!

I've got two mics on my head

Don't you wanna, yeah
don't you wanna karaoke?
Mikey, Mikey
Let's robo-karaoke!

My name is Mike and tonight
I'm your robo emcee
Just pick a song from the list
and I'll queue the CD
(Aw yeah!)

Mike's on the mics
and you know that he's doing the deed
'Cause nothing gets a party jumping higher
than a little kara-okie dokie

(Sing it!)
(Ha-ha!)
(Ah yeah!)
(Go! Go!)

My name is Mike and tonight
I'm your robo emcee
(Yeah, that's me)
Just pick a song from the list
and I'll queue the CD
(Oh, I'll get it!)

Yeah, Mike's on the mics
and you know that he's doing the deed
(Oh!)
'Cause nothing gets a party jumping higher
than a little kara-okie dokie, oh

(Go! Go! Go, go, Mike!)
