They hold on to a perch from a tree, and repeatedly attack [[Dixie Kong]] and [[Kiddy Kong]] by throwing an acorn at them and then retreating into their to then throw another acorn at them. Minkeys cannot be defeated, so Dixie or Kiddy must either dodge the acorns or move in front of a [[Barrel Shield]] to protect themselves from being hit by their acorns.

In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Minkeys only appear in one level, Barrel Shield Bust-Up, where they are the main enemy and obstacle.
