The patch[1] is a key item obtained for defeating Arich in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is given to Funky Kong at Funky's Rentals, being the exact item that he needed to finish constructing the Hover Craft,[1] allowing Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong to access more of the map.
The patch has been depicted on either side of the Hover Craft. In solo artwork of the Hover Craft, the patch is on the left, but in remake artwork of Dixie and Kiddy riding the Hover Craft, it is on the right.
