Toad Town returns in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake. Located south of Peach's Castle, it is where all the Toads live, in the north part of the town. The residents of Toad Town are affected by the blorbs epidemic during the game's events. Toad Town is also invaded at one point by Fawful, who steals the Dark Star for himself.
The main part of the living area holds a fountain and blocks reachable only by Shell Mario. The southern part has the Toad Town shopping mall, which opens after Mario and Luigi return from Bowser's body, and a few shops are found there, including the Badge Shop, Item Shop, Star Shop, Gear Shop, and Tea Kiosk. Besides the shops is the Toadley Clinic, Mario and Luigi learn about the Star Cures and the resulting Miracle Cure needed to cure the blorbs. The Toad Town Caves is below the town, where the Dark Star was sealed in ancient times. The underground section of Toad Town has many pipes leading to different sections of Toad Town and the shopping mall.
The theme uses a few notes from the Forest Maze theme in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

Profiles[edit]
- Prima Official Game Guide: "This is where the Blorbs first struck, turning the poor little Toads into massive, roly-poly puffballs. Toad Town is also where Mario and Luigi must go to speak to the famous Dr. Toadley about the Dark Star and a possible cure for the Blorbs. Getting to Toad Town requires a journey through the tunnels beneath the city, which are unfortunately overrun with Fawful's meanies. But once the Bros. burst to the surface, they can seek out the good doctor's advice. And before leaving town, be sure to stock up on Items and Gear at the many shopping destinations open to the public. Twin disasters like the Blorbs and the return of Fawful are no reason to shutter commerce!"[page number needed]
