Peach's Crown
Peach's Crown, once referred to as Princess Peach's tiara,[1] is a golden crown with red and blue jewels embedded in it. Princess Peach is almost always seen wearing it. Much like the Mario Cap, Peach's Crown has a significant role in Peach iconography, with one instance of it being that Peach's emblem depicts the crown. In the rare instances where Peach is separated from her crown, it is usually a key item that has to be retrieved for her. Forms of Peach almost always wear Peach's Crown, with the only exception being Peach's Drill form. Alternate versions of Peach, like Mini Peach, Baby Peach, and Rabbid Peach, also always wear the crown, though Mini Peach's is simplified by not including the jewels. Some games allow customizable characters to wear Peach's Crown.
In the Nintendo Comics System issue "Cloud Burst," Peach has lost her crown and needs it for her yearly recoronation, so she sends Mario and Luigi to retrieve it. She believes King Koopa to have stolen it as he is invading "World 3." In reality, it was stolen, along with King Koopa's crown, by a Lakitu, and the Mario Bros. eventually get it back for her.
In the Mario Kart series, the grandstand of Royal Raceway has a giant version of Peach's Crown on top of it. The Peach Mii Racing Suit includes Peach's Crown. In Mario Kart Tour, most of the alternate versions of Peach do not wear a crown, but Peach (Happi) and Peach (Halloween) do. Peach (Halloween) specifically wears her crown over a purple pointy hat.
In Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Princess Toadstool loses her Crown during her wedding to Booster, and Mario has to find it. Mario eventually finds the Crown on top of Booster's head. Depending on how fast Mario finds this and two of Princess Toadstool's other items, he may receive a kiss from her (if he does it very slowly, Booster, Bowser, or even both may kiss him).
In the Super Smash Bros. series, Peach's forward air attack is to take her crown and swipe downward with it before putting it back on. While slow, the attack is very powerful. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mii Fighters can wear Peach's Crown as one of the Headgear options. It includes a wig matching Peach's hair.
In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Princess Peach's tiara can be found on the top of the Thwomp Volcano.
In StreetPass Mii Plaza, Peach's Crown can be obtained as a Mii accessory.
In Mario Sports Superstars, Peach's Crown also appears as a horse accessory.
Throughout most of Super Mario Odyssey, Bowser forces Peach to wear Tiara, a living tiara he also kidnaps. Peach's normal crown is not seen for most of the game. After completing the game, Peach explores the world in various outfits with different kinds of hats. When she returns to the Mushroom Kingdom, she wears her standard dress and crown.
Peach is initially wearing her crown during the beginning of Princess Peach: Showtime!, though the events caused by Grape and her Sour Bunch troupe's invasion result in her crown flying out of the theater along with the Toads. It is later returned to her during the end credits.

Notes[edit]
- The Unspeakable Wonder treasure in Pikmin 2 strongly resembles Peach's Crown.
