"Title Theme",[1] also known as "Main Theme",[2] is a musical theme in Mario Kart World where it plays in the game's title screen. It is a blues-style composition with a call-and-response structure and a prominent ♭7̂ - 1̂- ♭7̂ - 1̂ motif,[3] the latter of which is used as a recurring motif throughout the game. The main melody alternates between being played on strings, an electric guitar, harmonica, and combinations thereof. This theme also briefly arranges "Mario Kart 64 Title Screen" in its bridge section, based off of the arrangement in "Mario Kart 7 Title Screen", followed by "Super Mario Kart Title Screen". The track is cut short and transitions into a coda if the player enters Free Roam while the track plays. Similarly to "Mario Kart 8 Title Screen", the theme's intro is replaced by a brief drum break when returning to the title screen from the trophy screen.
An extended, looping version of this theme was heard in the Mario Kart World: Invitational 2025 live stream. It is titled "Title Theme (Loop)" in the Nintendo Music app.

Mario Kart World features the first appearance of "Title Theme". A simple, harmonica arrangement of "Title Theme" is played upon starting the game for the first time. In the Nintendo Music app, it is then following by a version of "Title Theme" featuring a brief harmonica solo in the last section and the outro, which was used in the game's first trailer. It is titled "Title Theme (Extended)".
The theme that plays in the course selection screen in VS Race, Time Trials, and Battle incorporates quotes of "Title Theme", titled "Course Select" in the Nintendo Music app.
The main motif of "Title Theme" is incorporated into the chorus section of the track that plays in Mario Bros. Circuit, likewise titled "Mario Bros. Circuit" in the game's pause menu and the Nintendo Music app.
The theme that plays in Peach Stadium, titled "Peach Stadium" in the game's pause menu and the Nintendo Music app, incorporates a syncopated version of the ♭7̂ - 1̂- ♭7̂ - 1̂ motif.
Brief arrangements of "Title Theme" are incorporated into the theme that plays in the cutscene before unlocking the Special Cup. It is titled "Special Cup Appears" in the Nintendo Music app.
The motif is also incorporated into the track for Rainbow Road, likewise titled "Rainbow Road" in the game's pause menu:
- On section 3 (titled "Rainbow Road (Space Station)" in the Nintendo Music app), the first two bars of "Title Theme" are quoted along with the motif.
- On section 4 (titled "Rainbow Road (Finale)" in the Nintendo Music app), a call-and-response section incorporates the motif, adapting it to the form ♮7̂ - 1̂- 7̂ - 1̂ instead to fit the major scale.
The themes that play during introduction of Knockout Tour rallies (titled "Opening (Knockout Tour)" in the Nintendo Music app), when spectating players online during these (titled "Spectating"[2]), and when viewing their Highlight Reels (titled "Replay"[2]), incorporate arrangements of "Title Theme".
"Title Theme" is arranged in the theme that plays during the staff credits titled "Staff Credits", which is a medley arrangement of several course themes in the game. "Mario Bros. Circuit" and "Peach Stadium" are also arranged along with the motif.
