Jennifer Lee Taylor (Jen Taylor for short, born February 17, 1973, in Seattle, Washington, United States) is an American voice actress. In the Super Mario franchise, she was the first long-running voice actress for Princess Peach and Toad from Mario Golf for the Nintendo 64 to Mario Kart DS, succeeding Asako Kozuki; Toadette since her debut in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! up until Mario Party 7; Birdo in Super Mario Advance; and Princess Daisy from Mario Party 3 to Mario Party 5, succeeding Kate Fleming. She has also done voice-over work for Microsoft, such as voicing Cortana and her successor Joyeuse in the Halo franchise.
In 2005, Taylor ended her career with Nintendo to make sure she was able to spend more time at the Seattle's Children Theatre.[2] Nicole Mills succeeded her as Peach starting from Super Mario Strikers before Samantha Kelly became the long-term successor portraying Peach, Toad, and Toadette; while Kazumi Totaka succeeded her as Birdo, and Deanna Mustard succeeded her as Daisy, both starting from Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. However, her voice clips continue to be reused for some of the current Super Mario games on an occasional basis.
