Large Coin
A Large Coin is a giant coin. They appeared in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!, Super Princess Peach and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
History
Mario vs. Donkey Kong series
Large Coins appeared in two games in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series: Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!. They are common objects found in many levels. Each Large Coin is worth ten coins and 500 points.
Super Princess Peach
Large Coins also appear in Super Princess Peach. Rather than being worth ten Coins, however, each one is worth five. Upon buying a Courage Soda, Peach and Perry can knock Large Coins out of enemies as well as finding them throughout levels.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
A Large Coin also appeared in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It was seen in Supermassive Galaxy. Mario had to Wall Jump on the Large Coin in order to progress through the galaxy. However the gigantic coin would spin around at times making it harder for the player to wall jump on it and progress through the level.
Trivia
The Large coins in Super Princess Peach may be related to the Blue Coins in Super Mario 64.
