This article is about an enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. For a similar enemy from Super Mario World, see Fish Bone.

Template:Species-infobox Jean de Fillet[1] is a skeleton Cheep Cheep that lives in both water and lava. It appears in two levels of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, the new Endless World of Yoshis stage in Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and also appears in Yoshi's New Island. Despite being a Cheep Cheep's skeleton, it is far larger than the Cheep Cheeps of the games it appears in. Jean de Fillets stick their heads out of the water or lava, then jump out. They can be defeated with a well timed egg throw. A boss version of a Jean de Fillet, named Furious Fred de Fillet, appears in World 4-8: Furious Fred de Fillet's Castle in Yoshi's New Island. Their name comes from "fillet", a boneless cut of meat (usually fish).
