Self-Defense is one of Jimmy T.'s microgames in WarioWare: Twisted! and returns in WarioWare Gold as one of Dr. Crygor's microgames. There is a souvenir based of this game known as Pillow Fight.

The gameplay involves a boy with orange hair in a karate outfit (black belt), which, in WarioWare Gold, is much older and now a karate master[1] (also appearing in Goal in One). The player must tilt the system to deflect the upcoming objects.

  • 1st level difficulty: Deflect two baseballs.
  • 2nd level difficulty: Deflect three baseballs.
  • 3rd level difficulty: Deflect four baseballs. Sometimes the baseballs are replaced by basketballs, watermelons, and what appear to be knives.

In Gold, the objects are random.
