Hookin' Up is one of Kat & Ana's microgames found in the Ninja Scribble stage in WarioWare: Touched! and returns as one of Orbulon's microgames in the Fantasy set within the Touch League in WarioWare Gold.

Gameplay[edit]

The objective of the game is to draw a line to connect the boy and girl together while avoiding the obstacles between them.

WarioWare: Touched![edit]

  • Level 1: There are no obstacles in the way.
  • Level 2: There is a cat and a dog in the way.
  • Level 3: There are two pairs of moving scissors in the way.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

The boy and girl featured in this microgame are replaced by Long-Lost Love and Distant Darling, recurring characters in the game who also appear in Long Lost Love, Rocky Reunion, Tearful Reunion, and Love Tester.

  • Level 1: There are no obstacles in the way.
  • Level 2: There is a crocodile and an alien in the way.
  • Level 3: There are two fake girls (one is a crocodile and the other is an alien), which the player must avoid connecting to, as it results in a loss, in addition to the obstacles in level 2.

Notes[edit]

  • The two characters make a cameo in Patchwork from Game & Wario, where they appear in one of the possible victory screens of that game.
  • Between the Japanese and international versions of Touched!, the dialogue in the winning screen is different. The Japanese version uses "It's true love!", "Mad about you!" and "A chance encounter!", while the international versions instead use "What's your sign?", "Whassup, baby?" and "Wanna hang out?". Also, the European version of Touched! does not have the "To be continued..." box in the lower right corner.
