Donkey Kong Jr. is one of 9-Volt's microgames in WarioWare: Twisted!. It is set in the Family Computer and NES port of the game of the same name, specifically the Chain Scene. It reappears in WarioWare Gold in 18-Volt's set, where it takes place in the Vine Scene and Jump Board Scene, with the third difficulty level taking place in the Chain Scene. The music in the microgame is the title screen music from the game it is set in.
Gameplay[edit]
The objective is to have Donkey Kong Jr. climb up the chains and insert the two keys into their locks, freeing his father from Mario. In WarioWare Gold, Donkey Kong Jr. must climb the vines to knock the fruit down in the first two levels.
- Level 1: There are no enemies. In WarioWare Gold, Donkey Kong Jr. must climb up to knock down two fruits.
- Level 2: Donkey Kong Jr. must avoid a Nitpicker. In WarioWare Gold, this must be done while trying to knock down the fruits.
- Level 3: Donkey Kong Jr. must avoid two Birds, both going at unpredictable speeds. In WarioWare Gold, the Birds both move at regular speed.
